I grew up near Bathgate, North Dakota on my family's small grains, pulses, and sugar beet farm.
After graduating from NDSU, I've worked in both the commercial grain handling and ethanol industries. There, I watched as farmers skillfully juggled all the hats they wear. Yet, they most often dropped the hat I cared the most about – their crop marketer/risk manager hat.
In August 2016, I decided to do something about it and created Grand Vale Trading Company, a risk management and consulting company. I help farmers build risk management strategies to uniquely fit their operation and lock in profits.
My goal is to lift the burden and reduce the stress of going it alone in the marketing world and to help farms like yours find ways to be more profitable.
